Coach's Comments
Coach’s Award - Tristan Damm was a dominant runner and tagger for us during the season but broke his thumb 8 weeks out. Not once did he miss training and he would take others for fitness training on the night. His contribution to the team was vital. He returned with a couple of games to go with determination and commitment - 15 tackles in the first quarter of his first game back. He is fast and tough and takes a lot of stopping. He saved his best for the finals series.
Most Improved - Hammer Singh (Hamish) is a true utility, fit enough to play the wing , hard enough to play defense, really skilled at following the ball down on the defensive side. Although he played the entire season with injury, he was still able to take powerful pack mark, loves to tackle and lives up to his nickname. A top year. Brilliant finals series.

Jack Silvagni Greythorn Under 11s Best and Fairest
YJFL Runner-Up Best & Fairest
YJFL Best player in Grand Final
|
3rd Best & Fairest (and YJFL representative) - Liam Duffy is the most elegant of ruckmen, kicks a mile on either side, dominant in the ruck, he is the total package. Great fitness, can run all day, makes beautiful position and can mark anything. Magnificent in the final series. He is not intimidated by the big occasion.
Runner-Up Best & Fairest - Dan Houston started the season with injury but came home like a steam train in the latter half or the season. Dan can play the ruck and is a dominant centre half forward when required. He can kick a goal from the next suburb and his strength and size make him unstoppable. He would not change direction for a bus. He has kicked a whole bunch of goals, often marking from the opposition kick-ins. He is an inclusive player who brings others into the play. He had no shortage of great games but his best game of the year was the most defiantly the Semi Final where he simply cut the opposition to pieces.
Best & Fairest – Jack Silvagni Best and Fairest in this astounding team is Jack Silvagni. Jack had a remarkable season from the start to the finish. Jack plays on the ball, rover or follower - it doesn’t matter. He is a strong overhead mark, ferocious tackler and is the master of the run down. He is a huge kick on either side of the body and kicked 7 goals in the Grand Final, 5 on the right 2 on the left. Jack was runner up in the YJFL votes this year and Player of the match in the Grand final which he richly deserved. He loves a big occasion and his finals series was outstanding. He leads by example and has skills beyond his years. He commits to the team totally.
