Our club has a policy of participation and encouragement where all players are given ample opportunity regardless of their ability.
Family involvement is encouraged and parents are urged to make themselves available for match day duties such as goal umpiring and time keeping. Club officials and coaches are normally drawn from our parent group.
The club is bound by a
thoroughly workable Constitution and Set of Rules, Code of Conduct and a Religious and Racial Tolerance Policy for its smooth running and
for the promotion of our game.

2008 Dinner Dance

The club held its annual Diner Dance on Friday 25th July at the Manningham Function Centre.
The theme of the evening was a celebration of the 60's and 70's and some of the outfits (disguises) were truly remarkable. So much so that a lot of us didn't know just who was wearing them. Maybe they were free loaders.
It truly was a wonderful evening and absolutely everyone had a great time.
Unfortunately, we only hold one Dinner Dance a year and those who missed out will have to wait until next year.
Further pictures of the event can be viewed here.

Southern Cross Youth Initiative.
The Greythorn Football Club is proud to be associated with the Southern Cross Youth Initiative.
The Southern Cross Youth Initiative (SCYI) is designed to provide a one-year residential high school for teens 13 to 17 years old who have had problematic substance abuse behavior.
The special school at the Southern Cross - Gippsland Campus (SSC-G) aims to restore the dignity, self-confidence, self-respect and educational and vocational participation of its students as drug-independent members of society. The program engages with students through a number of phases over a 24-month period. The first year is residential, and the second year is a live-out program that supports and monitors the student.
Our Club applauds the work that Southern Cross are doing and will support them wherever we are able.
In the meantime please visit their web site and learn a little about them.
